The family is another church.

If we go through the history of revival, there is almost no revival that lasted more than 30 years. The great revival of Wales and the revival of Pyung Yang which was called as Eastern Jerusalem did not last. What might be the reason? It is because we have always failed to inherit the Gospel to the next generation. We do missionary work well but we always lost the next generation at the same time.

A big investment is being made in Sunday school and many youth ministries, but none of them have had the radical success in acquiring the next generation. Is there a way to really save the next generation in the times like Sodom and Gomorrah?

Amazingly, here we have the strategy promised by God from the beginning. Let's watch the video.

Yes, the Christians have lost the next generation but the Jews on the other hand, have inherited the faith of Jehovah to the next generation for 4,000 years since Abraham. What is the secret? The secret lies within the parents discipling their children. God revealed to us the secret and also commanded it us through Deuteronomy chapter 6, “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise”.

Although the church invests in Sunday school and build facilities for teaching, we can never disciple our children for only one hour a week. Only the parents can disciple the children. As Sunday school and youth ministry excel, we will lose our children. In fact, there is a statistic that tells us that we have lost the next generation more after the Sunday school program was introduced and started in the 19th century. In the past, parents were discipling their children at home, but when Sunday school was introduced, the parents entrusted their children to Sunday school. Sunday school is an aid to parents to be able to disciple their children. It can never be a replacement.

In the case of the Jews, the parents disciple the children, and the children disciple their children. But, in Christianity, an adult disciple another adult and another adult. Small groups, cells, family church, women group, men group are focused on discipling an adult. Our children have nowhere to go. Why has Christianity developed this system? It's because this is the only way to create the mega church in 20-30 years.

Discipleship has spread all over the world. All the churches introduced the discipleship program expecting a revival. What we can confirm before discussing discipleship methodology is that the church has start off on the wrong foot. And this first step is that the subject of discipleship should not be another person, but our children.

Is it easier to disciple another person or our own children? We can disciple others on Sundays wearing ties and reciting the verses we know. But that does not apply at home. Why? Because our children know how we actually live. Our children see that we say Lord, Lord with our lips but in reality, we lie when we are in disadvantage, we love money and the world, we do not forgive, and we do not love. If we do not truly live out the Gospel, it is impossible to disciple the children. The one who succeeds in discipleing the children does not need to evangelize with their lips because peers and neighbors will look at his/her life and come to fear God; they will raise a spiritual hunger.

This is not the only problem of the members of the church. Ministers are good at ministries but have a difficult time when it comes to discipling their own children.

The church is a valuable community that worships God as one body, experiences the Lord and receives the fullness of the Holy Spirit. But daily discipleship and personal maturity is a holy duty given only to a family.

Sustainable Revival

We can experience sustainable revival and enjoy it until the coming of the Lord as a family, church, and nation when we consume the Word of God, the wine, sufficiently, equally, and directly and when we prepare the new wineskin, which is parent’s discipleship of next generationis.
